thanks Cathy, the photo was chance, I held the camera under the flower and ‘took a chance’ for once it worked,
there are 3 the other 2 are in the alder terrace garden, I didn’t knowingly plant them there and I think what has happened is when I dug up some large clumps of daffodils the snowdrops got dug up too, they didn’t flower last year I suspect leaves grew but I didn’t regonise them, so glad they survived my digging around, Frances
