yes at last! after 3 weeks of storms, 2 gales of over 90mph winds, in one the wind reached a speed of 125mph at the Butt of Lewis which is where I live on the island, this week so far has been calm with frosty mornings and cold sunny days, I don’t give that butterfly long. Frances

yes but as I said to Christina it’s cold, also there is nothing in flower, I fear this butterfly is doomed as it has arrived too soon, Frances
That’s what I thought when I saw the butterfly – but I suppose it is all part of Nature’s scheme of things, and you were lucky to have the pleasure of seeing its brief appearance.
And to have the sunshine as well, of course!!
yes I was lucky, it was in the open doorway of the shed I nearly trod on it, I moved it to the workbench, it jumped on my finger, tonight I can hear the rain so back to wet, Frances

I really love this little butterfly…I hope we see some by spring in later March but that is pushing it here.
Donna this is really early here and most unusual, I fear she probably didn’t last the night as we had frost in the morning, Frances
