:o) Marguerite not doing both at once! we have had some very cold winds so not only not gardening it’s too cold to go for a walk and I have enjoyed reading but need some exercise! then I remembered my skipping rope …………… can’t remember any of the songs we used to sing while skipping when I was a child though, Frances
thanks Donna, the book is very interesting and helpful, all I need now is the weather to get going,
until I bought this rope a few years I had not skipped since my children were young (over 30 years ago), I was thinking one winter I need some exercise, other than housework :o( and skipping just came to mind so the next time I went to town I went looking for a skipping rope, I can just manage 30 without tripping and after 50-60 I need a rest! Frances
Glad you clarified the intention to skip, Frances, proving that it was not an entirely posed photo! It’s not always easy to find space inside to skip, so hope you haven’t cleared your shelves as you have skipped!
not at all posed Cathy, WW is for me about something happening that week and with the cold weather keeping me in this is my week, I am trying to get rid of my clutter and your comment has made me realise I must be improving as I do have room to skip, the ceilings are about 8’6″ so no marks on them either, Frances
I have been doing a lot of garden reading to pass the rainy days. Exercise? Not so much, though I have found that one hundred laps through our living room, down the back hall, and back again equals a mile. So I can jog in my house!
lol Deb, I can just see you scurrying around, you work still so you get out and exercise, the only problem with retirement and living in a rural area is when the weather is too bad to be outside, if I was still near London I could exercise by going to exhibitions, museums, shops browsing, etc. etc. I even have a single storey house so no stairs to run up and down, if I’m not careful I could very easily become a ‘blimp’ ;o) Frances
Is that a skip rope? Might be a little hard to read while jumping up and down :)
