  2. Lovely frosty foliage! The up side of a cold night is the beauty that the frostynnight brings. Christina

    • thanks, Christina I thought it was a bit chilly when I got up this morning but it wasn’t until light and I looked out that I saw how cold, the insulation in my walls is working well :o)
another upside I hope is that it will break up some of those clods of earth, Frances

  3. I see you’re making the most of our cold snap – love the contrast and details – all beautifully edged Frances -

I love the way frost outlines leaves and plants. Like an artist with a white marker pen

  5. Love that third photo with the pretty purple leaves encased in frosty silver.

    • thanks Marguerite, that is a really beautiful foliage hebe which had all the top growth killed off in storms a few years ago, I cut it back and left the root in the hope it might regrow, it has very slowly, I took some cuttings last year but they did not take I will try some more this year, we are back to rain today! Frances

  6. Frances these are beautiful…I love when foliage is frosted especially the plump foliage

  7. Wonderful how frost transforms foliage isn’t it – like Helen said, painterly.
